come just for the black Mediterranean mussels, huge plump things in a
silky broth seasoned with chipotles and mint. "Crispy salmon" is
truly that, with an ancho-chile and honey-glazed skin that crunches
promisingly as you cut it. The mesquite-grilled filet mignon is even better
embellished with poached whole garlic cloves and melting bits of marrow,
horseradish mashed potatoes soaking up the juices. For dessert, there's
a tumbling pile of almond butter cake, spiced apples, and mascarpone caramel sauce."
